Review: Moevenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu

We decided to try "Moevenpick Hotel" when we visit Mactan Island Cebu recently and generally we had a great time in the resort. They have an awesome white sand private beach so no one will bother you selling you stuff that you don't need. This is a great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beach.

We got a promo deal from a booking site, for the Suite King but when we got there they upgrade us to the Suite Ocean View with two (2) bedroom which is huge. The nightly rate also include international buffet breakfast for two adults and two children (11 years old and below) at The Sails restaurant.

Facilities includes gym, game room, swimming pool, day care for your toddler, private beach, free shuttle to and from SM mall or Ayala mall.

Our room view was amazing, it's a corner room facing the beach so we had an awesome view of the sea and some part of the island. The Suite Ocean View has 2 rooms, bathroom at each room and a Jacuzzi. It also has a dining table and a sofa with a huge TV.

We only have two issues about the room, the phone was not working when we got there and the Jacuzzi was leaking. But once we reported it, they were immediately fixed so kudos to the resort management.

Their staff are well trained, friendly, and helpful.

The breakfast at the Sails restaurant was also great, good food and the service was outstanding. We also love the entertainment at the Ibiza bar at night.

The also have complimentary chocolate hour at the lobby from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy this since we were out in the city at that hours.

The private beach was clean, it has white sands, however you can't swim at night by 6:00 pm it's no longer allowed to swim in the beach. Good thing they have a swimming pool that's open until 10:00 pm.

We enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely consider going back at their resort.
